trying to play fsport on 3.6.10 beta and when I go to start the campaign, I get a message about "Freespace was unable to find 2 ship classes". Does anyone know what this is and how to fix it?
-
Little more info would be useful but first guess is that you haven't selected FSPort as the active campaign in the campaign room.
If that doesn't fix it was it working with 3.6.9? Also try running the debug build and attaching the fs2_open.log located in the data directory.

You know, it would be helpful if you read the entire freaking error message!!
Warning!
FreeSpace was unable to find [n] ship classes while loading this mission. This can happen if you try to play something that is incompatible with the current mod.
(The current campaign is [current campaign] and the current mod is [current mod].)
You can continue to load the mission, but it is quite likely that you will encounter a large number of mysterious errors. It is recommended that you either select a campaign that is compatible with your current mod, or else exit FreeSpace and select a different mod.
Do you want to continue to load the mission?
That's the error message you encountered, right? How can you not figure out what the problem is?
Honestly. I added this error message to prevent threads like these.

Well, I'm glad you recovered. :)
And (even though Galemp closed the thread) I do want to extend my appreciation for your long-term patronage of the FreeSpace Port. :) (I see your first post was in 2005, in the Port forum.)
