Post by: husky1504 on October 01, 2008, 02:41:34 pm
I recently got Freespace and Freespace 2(and I played them before) from my friend and of course graphics is looking really bad and he told me about this little community :)
So if you could help me please and tell me how can I install those mods and improve this really awesome game :)
Please help! :)

use turey's installer, the link is in the stickied thread in General Freesace Discussion, it'll take care of you.

Technically, beams are supposed to be invisible.

Welcome to the HLPBB!!! :D

Try with the FreeSpace Open Installer:

http://www.fsoinstaller.com/

It allows you to DL many of the nice custom campaigns and mods. It's pretty easy to manage, too. :D

The funny thing is that Lobo is a moderator in the forum he didn't suggest to use(although it was the most appropriate). :p

What's even more funny is that this board is actually meant for tech support with FreeSpace or the installation procedure of FreeSpace. If husky1504 had had problems with installing FreeSpace, I would have suggested this board. But since he had absolutely no idea of what to do...

Nevermind. It's here now and since it was moved by Goober, I'm not going to argue about it.
