Title: Bracketing alignment error
Post by: dANGER boy on October 02, 2008, 02:32:51 am
Perhaps it is my computer and the way Vista runs things, but I'm encountering a slight discrepancy in the bracketing alignment of targeted objects.  The brackets are considerably "off" the target, meaning that they don't bracket it at all when it is out of my reticle but as the ship moves into my reticle, the brackets align themselves correctly.   Is this intentional in FS2 Open?  Is it a bug?  Is it a problem specific to my computer?

Do I need to change some display settings or settings with FS2 Open?  Thanks for the help.

P.S. It does the same thing in Fred2 as well.

You are playing with a widescreen resolution. Switch to a 4:3 resolution or use a 3.6.10 build (such as the Recommended one in my signature).

Well, changing my video resolution for the game helps reduce the alignment error but it is still there.  It also makes a line appear near the top quarter of my screen when I move the view.  Is that just the nature of playing with widescreen or is there something else that needs to be done?
