So is there any news on the latest update of Freespace Port? Bug fixes? Release date?
Just wondering...

Take it or leave it.
3.1 will be released eventually.

I'll give you a hint if you sign up for Neo-Terra Victorious. ;) See my post here (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php/topic,56805.msg1147622.html#msg1147622).

hey, will you guys include the user-made Vasuda cutscene? The motto is make things better right?
Wouldn't his cutscene improve the FS1 campaign greatly?

It wouldn't fit. There are already retail cutscenes in the two places it could plausibly be placed.
There's nothing preventing anyone from hacking his own download though. :)

Would one be able to string two cutscenes together in sequence, so as to shift one of the existing cutscenes right before/after Icey's? Or is the cutscene player not capable of that as it stands?

That would be an ideal approach, except no one ever answered my question. :doubt:

The cutscene player only plays one cutscene at a time.

Which question is that?

From there onwards. I'm sort of left hanging.
-
Here's another question, then: could one of the two cutscenes occupying the space that one would most likely fill be bumped a mission to the side? From what I remember, most of the Ancient monologues were vague enough that slightly tweaking their location wouldn't really affect the plot.
-
exactly.

I just found out that apparently the engine only allows for 10 cutscenes total in the campaign. So adding an extra cutscene breaks things - it actually broke things for me. I didn't see Ancients 4 cutscene or the vasuda.avi cutscene. So I've finished the campaign with 9 cutscenes total playing and the only way I'm going to see that missing cutscene is to go through the campaign again.
-
Wrong. There is a cutscenes viewer. Go to the Tech Room and select Cutscenes, and you can see any cutscene you should have already been able to see. Unless it never unlocked that cutscene in your pilot.
-
No, you're wrong. I know about the cutscene viewer and it goes:
ancients 3
ancients 5
It totally skipped 4, I didn't see the vasuda evacuation. Essentially it broke the cutscenes. There's no way for me to watch it unless I go through the campaign again.
-
Throw in a little Ctrl-Shift-S in the Tech Room?
-
True. And that's why I said, 'Unless it never unlocked that cutscene in your pilot.'
-
If you add the cutscene to the cutscene table will it work? I thought I remembered it showing all the cutscenes when the Vasua evacuation cutscene first came out if you had the modified cutscene table.
-
If the problem was the cutscene overflow, then it should already be in the table.
