Just to remind you folks that it's till semi-alive.
I got irritated today and started to texture the thing a bit, but as you can see, it's not going very well. Some of the Stock Demon textures are awful.
So just a reminder to texture artists out there, that if they have the time and will, they might want to take a shot at making something.

Can you improve it even more, please? It's cool but a bit incomplete, IMO.

I probably can...There a few places I can do more efficiently.
Now if you ask if I'll smooth it out out - then no. It's already smoother than the stock Demon and I want that rigid look to remain.
Now I only filddled a little with it (evident by the lack of UV maping on many a faces) to take my mind off other things.

I tried a smooth Demon.. it looked...ugh..not like a demon at all.

One thing I noticed... the front side of the 'rib'-like thing on the far right in that screenshot (the ribcage of the demon, if you will) looks too regular and rectangular...

Don't have the smoother version anymore. Have no idea what happened to it. At least I can't find it.
It's not a problem to make a mock-up tough .Smooth Quad divide and so...
Oh, if you fear this will never get done I may have some good news. With COTS nearing completion I finally may have some more time to work on this some more. And maybe that Concept Art Collie.

The black and red areas with the exposed 'guts' can take a LOT more greebling. I'm talking about the scale of VA's Hades or BrandX's Star Destroyer. I would really want there to be significant tech piping and stuff under that armored shell and between those ribs.

True...those can all be done as separate objects..good for detail boxes or LODing.

here is a thought, what if you had a ridge running down the center of each of the ribs, just a little lump that went along there length.

I was thinking something similar... something like BGS grebling...almost like a spine, but connecting each of the ares to the center, running over that black part.
