Title: SEXP-related pages

There are a lot of them, and they are about the same thing. Some are only lists, others have the FRED SEXP description copy/pasted beneath it.

I agree that Retail and SCP SEXPs should be treated separately, but I find no reason to have a list-only page and a list-with-description page. I suggest we live by three SEXP-related articles:

*"S-expression" - an overview about SEXPs, how they work, how they should be used. This is yet to be written.
*

Retail SEXP Reference Retail SEXPs - For Retail SEXPs, with descriptions copy/pasted from FRED.
*SCP SEXP Reference SCP SeXPs - For SCP SEXPs, otherwise same as "Retail SEXP Reference. Retail SEXPs"[/list]

What do you think?

Putting each sexp on its own page is annoying (especially if you want to look up more than one).  Consolidating them is A-1 SUPAR.

They are already consolidated into just two lists for retail and SCP SEXPs respectively - I did that quite a while ago (at Goober's request, even). That said, there may be a few of the old pages still lingering around that aren't linked from anywhere but have yet to be deleted... are those the problem?

Wow, I had forgotten about that. :)  From TopAce's comment I had assumed a consolidation had never taken place.

Yeah, we should remove all of the old, single-sexp pages in favor of the consolidated pages.

Wait, no, those are there for a reason (they're there for posting comments/tips/tricks/advice/quirks related to using the SEXP in question without cluttering up the list itself). It's the old lists that need to go.

So this list-only and list-with-description distinction wasn't intentional. Deleting the pages that have "Reference" in their titles would do the trick.

I don't support deleting individual SEXP pages either, because of the need for the Notes section.

And what about this (http://www.hard-light.net/wiki/index.php/The_World_of_SEXPs)? It looks like a nascent FAQ. It needs some expansion, and a better title  :pimp:.

I'll see about getting rid of those. And I've never seen that FAQ thing before... the info is useful enough, so I'll leave it there for now, but it badly needs some layout changes and a more descriptive title than "The World of SEXPs".

It looks like it was copied directly from an external source (Kara's FAQ?). In order for the images to work, they must be uploaded to the Wiki. Currently, they are linked to.

I say move this to "Karajorma's SEXP FAQ". Or "Karajorma's S-expression frequently asked questions" ;).

[EDIT]Wait, the images are 404.

It's only part of the FAQ, so that would be misleading. Another point would be that since it is from the FAQ, we don't need do duplicate the same article on the wiki, so I'm inclined to just delete it then.

Fine. If it's indeed from Kara's FAQ, I wasn't supposed to have touched it anyway - apart from wikifying.
