I will try to explain my predicament as best i can.
I'm about halfway in a mini-campaign I'm making based on a certain mod, however i want to use message sounds that were incorporated into the mod but they don't appear when searching for a wav.file but when I open missions previously made with the same mod the wav file is there and accessible. What i want to know is; is there a way to use the wav file in the VP without extracting OR if i do extract and just release a VP with just missions will they still use that wav file? It's there in the mod VP but the pathway would be different in Fred as i extracted it....
If someone can please help me with this issue I promise to stop posting on the Fred board for ages :P

And yet again we see why you shouldn't make a VP for your mod before actually finishing it. :p
Just typing the file name into the box should be enough IIRC. The game will look in the correct sounds folder before looking in the VPs.

Its not my mod, im using the universe of one already released.

Thankyou very much, I wont bother this board for a while :P

Uh... you know we do more than tech support, right? :nervous: You can stay. Pardon Kara's assumption.

He said he wouldn't bother us if we helped him rather than being scared off by my comment (Which was a general aside really rather than an indication he was the one who'd done it wrong).
Arkangel is doing the common newbie thing of thinking that asking a lot of questions is annoying to veteran members. Personally I don't get particularly bored of helping out FREDders with valid problems. It's only when they repeatedly ask questions cause they can't be bothered to figure things out themselves that it annoys me. This is Arkangel's 3rd or 4th question in the last month but they've either required new SCP features to solve or been mistakes that even :v: made on occasion (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php/topic,56853.0.html) so I never felt any need for him to stay silent.
