Title: Process from Pof to Mlkshape and back?
Post by: varsaigen on October 16, 2008, 12:09:44 pm
I know it's been asked before, but I finally managed to learn to succesfully model. So, I was wondering what the exact process was to get models from Pof into Milkshape successfully (with or without other programs). I have attempted to find plugins for milkshape, but it didn't happen. Any convertion programs would be helpful too. But, my main goal is to find a good system to get Pof into Milkshape and back into Pof for other Milkshape modelers.

Any method's you can give me would be deeply appreciated. Thank you.

Why export pof???

Anyway when my source is MS3d, save to 3ds or lwo then I use 3dexploration (now known as deep e) and save as cob, then pcs1 (you would use 2) to make POF. In emergecies I try modelview to make pof... My comp has problems with pcs2 until I can get a hold of a ready made pof then I can go back and forth fine...

Anyway use PCS1 or 2 to make pofs into .cobs and there you go. Use 3de or similar proggy to make .cobs into 3ds or lwo to import into ms3d

AFAIK MS3d does NOT have a .pof or .cob importer....

I use MS3d a lot to extract SCF3 or BC meshes (with permission).

ms3d is one of the worst modeling programs i ever used (and ive used alot of them), had to use it to convert models for freelancer. it sucked so much that i never wanted to mod that game again. **** id rather model in polytron.
