I don't know where i saw this, but i'm sure i saw it, a fix for the missing powerup effect in the newest MediaVPS, i'm running SCP with a 3.6.10 build. (Sorry for not elaborating this post any further, big headache and tiredness <--- Yes. that's a word...MY WORD!)
-
open the beams-wep.tmbs and change "SbeamAglow" to "beamglow4"
-
I suppose this file is in one of the mediavps, right-o. I shall go and have a look
EDIT1: Since I'm using MV_AdvEffects i took a look inside it first, and i found one such line in beams2-web.tbm, let's see if this works then
EDIT2:Damn, still no Shivan beamglows. I'll look in your file then, my guess its in mv_effects
EDIT3:Hmm, strange...i can't find any tbm file with that name except for the beams1-web.tbm and number two in mv_adveffects. and in that one I've already tried it
EDIT4:Hold on a minute. It seems that my editing of the file didn't save. I'll extract the file then put it back in then see if it works
EDIT5:Wow, already on Edit 5. anyway, this might seem like a dumb question but uh...how do i move the tbm file back in....dragging and placing does not work *gasp*!
Where is the problem solving wolfman when you need him :P
-
Extract it, edit it, and put it in mediavps/tables
You don't need to put it back into the VP!
-
ahh ok, thanks. I'll try that out
EDIT:Yes, it works. It didn't work when i put it into mediavps/tables. But thanks to my quick thinking and mildy big intellect i managed to sort it out by putting it in mediavps/data/tables! :P
Man, i've forgot how scary it was to look at those blobs powering up...you never really quite notice how such small things can affect your mindset of the game so much
-
oops...forgot the data...*smashes head on wall*

Don't be sad, you helped me where the problem solving wolfman could not!

Sorry for reviving a dead thread, but can anybody tell me how do I extract the tbm files and modify them ?
-
use the VPview tool, with that you can extract it, to replace the original you'll have to place the modified version on the mediavps/Data/tables/ I think

Thanks, it's good to have the power-up blobs back :D
