Title says it all, really. Say, for example, the Galatea main hall with the Aquitaine music, and FS1 briefing music for an FS2 mission... Can it be done?
In case you wonder why I'm asking this: simply because the standard Terran FS2 mainhall has a big GTVA logo on it, and because I like some of the FS1 music better than some of the FS2 music.

:wtf:

You can download the music and table files and then use them wherever you'd like. If you want FS1 music in the FS2 missions, edit them.

LOL...I already am using it...for so long I forgot about it.
come to think of it, most COTS mission (if not all) use FS1 music and briefing...dang it.
I'll either have to ship FS1 music with the campaign or change all missions :P

Yea, there's a table mod on FSMods that changes default FS2 music into FS1 music. Just that it uses some, not all of the music.
As for the mainhall... Just port the FSPort one into FS2.

I thought about that too, but that means that if I release the mod, I'll either have to ship the music with it (which is a few MB, IIRC) or have people mess around with the FS folders (which is rather complicated for unexperienced guys like me). Is there a special mod.ini setting or so? If I just put fsport in the secondarylist of the mod.ini, it doesn't recognize the FS2 ships/weapons anymore.

How?

All you need to do is tell the user to port the music vp from FSPort, and just have the music from that table of mine. Another option is, to use the FSPort music.tbl and that vp, so that you can specify any of the FS1 music in your missions.
As for the mainhall, you need to extract the mainhall screen, anis and mask files, with the mainhall table from FSPort.

Okay, I'll give it a try. Thanks!
