I grew tired of these advertisements many months ago.
-
But this one shows them to be hypocrites, so it's funny!
-
You have a point.
When was the last time anyone saw an ad for HP or Dell? PCs don't really advertise, they just are.

:wtf:
-
They'd be buggered if I was running Linux on the PC, however, that's not really an anti-PC ad, it's more of an anti-Microsoft ad.
-
Can't Microsoft sue them for defamation?

Can't Microsoft sue them for defamation?
Yes.
....
Oh, you mean can they win a lawsuit for defamation.
No, sadly, they can't do that.
-
Isnt that.. like what Apple is. A marketing company?
-
Of course.
just look at iPods - all marketing and no product.

In their defense, I don't think Apple could spend any more money on improving Vista than they do now.
-
It's like XP in a way, it took quite some time, but it's a damn fine operating system now, all things considered, Vista will probably just about be right by the time Microsoft start developing the next generation of OS's, it seems to be how things work.
-
If they spent all their time perfecting before release, there's be even more time between OS's. Miro$oft need to fuel their pockets.

Say what, now?

True...people have short term memories and don't remember what a pile of crap XP was when it came out. It had tons of driver problems and everyone was upset about the bloat and the glitzy interface. A few years later and wash, rinse, and repeat.
The only difference is that Microsoft is saying that Windows 7 will be here much sooner than Vista ever was to XP. Although Windows 7 will just be Vista with a bunch of improvements, which is good, but it not quite as big as XP to Vista I think. They made allot of good decisions (and some bad ones) for Vista that just haven't paid off yet.

Not to mention they let Apple have its way with them with the Mac vs PC ads that debuted when Vista was launched. When Vista had some launch issues, Apple capitalized on that and turned the public perception of Vista into a 'steaming pile of crap' that Microsoft still hasnt fixed yet. Vista IS NOT what most people think it is, but in this age, perception is reality.

Vista killed Bioshock's sound, it had diver issues, and this was service pack 1.
Now what was that about reality again? Obviously if I thought Vista was going to screw everything up, I wouldn't have switched
-
I've learned the hard way to give it a good 2-3 years before switching to the latest Operating System, whilst people complain about being 'Beta Testers' for Microsoft, the real truth is, you never know what (a)the public expect or (b)how the OS is going to stress-handle until you throw it out into the wild and see what kind of punishment it can take.

I don't know anything about Bioshock but I had only one driver issue and that was because of nVidia's infamously bad Vista drivers (ATI and Intel had no major problems that I'm aware of). I've installed plenty of both old and new software, drivers, printers, etc. The biggest thing I lament is the loss of IPX/SPX drivers in the network area. Aside from that everything works just fine and I'm enjoying the newer features. It isn't perfect but Apple has expanded their reality distortion field to encompass large parts of the world and Microsoft let them do it.
I'm enjoying the fact that MS has gotten a black eye...they needed one...they probably need another they are still far too arrogant for me...but the OS itself is pretty good.

Novell's put out some pretty good mac vs pc vs linux advertisements.
