I've uploaded the script to warpcore (http://fs2source.warpcore.org/temp/wmc/radarmap-sct.tbm). I provide it as-is to anybody who wants to modify it for their campaign.

Heh... tweaked this one a bit.. added weapons (with trails and homing indicators) to the map as well... only problem was that due the massive amount of information i got killed far more often than when playing without it.
And after testing.. it might be best if the big radar screen wouldnt rotate (given that truly 3d missions are still a rarity) with the ship but either would be static or controlled by some other means.

I think something like this could be most useful to the 'commander' of a team, so he can keep an eye on things and call out orders to the rest of the team. Probably the guy with the best micro :)
