Title: Why so quiet?
Post by: Snagger on November 11, 2008, 03:47:24 am
Five days with not a single post on any thread - what's happening? :nervous:

I've already sent a formal complaint to Bethesda demanding the immediate release of the dev team. :p

Seriously though there is plenty of stuff going on but it's all internal stuff that doesn't translate well into either pictures or press releases just yet. For instance I've spent the last few days working on code issues that were preventing Raptors and Raiders from jumping out properly. That's (mostly) fixed now but there's not much I can say about it beyond what I just did.

It's also quite hard to notice that this forum is quiet cause the internal is busy.

You'd save time if you actually paid for it at a store.

Fallout 3 is definitely worth paying for :D I think I've spent a good 15-20 hours on it myself by now, and I haven't been bored once. Also, you would actually have had an update yesterday if I hadn't been slacking, so blame me if you want :p I'll try to get it done today at least.

*waves with hand*
[Jedi mind trick] You don't want to play Fallout 3. Fallout 3 is bad for us...erm...YOU. You want to continue on Diaspora. [/Jedi mind Trick]  :P

Mmmm, Fallout 3, great game. Only problem with it is there's no SDK for it yet! Oblivion had some great mods, and Fallout 3 has great modding potential as well.

Fallout 3... is a drug. More addictive and time consuming then heroin.
As for modding it, hell yeah. When looking at those ruined buildings and rubble, how can I not
expect Cylon centurions to start shooting at me? :)
Anyway I'm sure the SDK and all the tools will come out, just a matter of time. Modding it should
be as easy as oblivion.

I wouldn't boast about it......Some things are best kept silent.

Well when Fallout 3 eventually releases an SDK, i'd wager that FS2/Diaspora ground combat mods will be rife on these boards (5+ years time:nervous:)

/me imagines a Fallout Galactica mod, where the ragtag fleet arrives on Earth to find it nuked and human population living in numbered vaults... and other creatures living elsewhere.

Short (or long) periods of quiet are to be expected, since the devs are doing most of their talking on the internal forum.

Well, actually, Gordon Freeman knows how to operate Radio's, and probably can broadcast things too...
