I've created a nodemap based on Volition's Original (http://www.hard-light.net/wiki/index.php/Nodemap).
The systems and the system position are the same. Only the lines are a bit differed arranged, so that no line goes through a system.

Maybe someone would like to build it into the wiki. Everybody is allowed to use and edit this nodemap.
Here's the Photoshop PSD file and higher resolution PNGs. Download (5.2 MB) (http://photo-sorko.at/aod/nodemap.rar)

Why Polaris is red? Is it because it was a revel system?
-
Yes full of sweeties
-
but..then what about regulus?
ahh.. and it looks nice kinman
-
The volition nodemap is based on FS1, so the red systems are controlled by the shivans (IIRC).
-
Well, if red= shivan controlled, Procyon A is pretty screwed.
-
Either way they're screwed :P
-
Could we have a nodemap that is completely green? (by this I mean the systems, not a Libyan flag)
-
Either way they're screwed :P
In fact everything except beta aquilae, delta serp, sol, and the (i'm assuming) worthless (not counting laramis) colonies behind it are screwed
-
Personally I've never understood why people are so averse to moving the stars around Procyon A for instance is especially stupid where it could easily be moved to the other side of Adhara and thus avoid crossing any other links.
-
Great map, but similarly Sirius could be moved above and to the left of Deneb to avoid crossing.
And except if its a "strategical node map", all systems should be in green.
-
I didn't move the systems, because it should look like the original. I only moved the entry points frome the "lanes".
If you want a whole green map, you can simply replace the red systems with the greens in the photoshop file.
If there's anybody who needs a whole green map and has no posibilty to change it, just write me and I'll provide a "green" map
Greetings, Kinman

As it says in the first post, the PSD file is in the RAR archive.
