My best so far is 45 in Into The Lions Den FS2 on insane
I love that mission :D
-
Hehe. I made my own nice little slaughter mission. About 60 Amazons and a 20 fire missile with 1200m/s, 4000 damage and a 300 degree view cone. Took about 10 seconds to wipe 'em all out.
-
I got some 102 recently on my Sirius Blockade mission (a validated multiplayer one). For single player, my record would probably be 65 (I think) on Into the Lion's Den, but that was over two years ago.
-
Got some 82 in an FS1 mission, can't recall the name though. It ended with the Lucifer jumping in, and sending out manticores and basilisks, four at a time. Shivan command, beats even Allied Command in stupidity, IMHO. :D
-
*agrees with Stunaep*
That was the easiest mission to get a boat load of kills.
I had racked up around 110 kills there. Though for the life of me I can't remember what I was flying at the time. Was either a herc or an ursa.
-
Greatest number of kills? Bah! Killing does not make one great.
-
Only you could come up with that kind of an answer to a thread like this dude ;)
-
The mission in Derelict where you get to destroy the supply depot with about 60 unshielded, parked fighters
-

so you don't have too many, eh?:D:D
-
LOL...
Single player I think I've gotten 90 on Into the Lion's Den.
Multi, boy you can get like over 100 easily on some missions...

I think that's in Twilight isn't it? i'd forgotten about that, and did anyone notice if you change your hud colours it changes the colours of the jump nodes? i used a blue hud in the lions den and the jump nodes turned blue.
-
IN a multiplayer mission turned single (from Vwatch) I got 500 kills (relly).

Me too

I noticed that as well - a neat touch. I liked the blue nodes a bit better actually; it would have been nice if the same was possible in FS2.

Was that the one where you have to escort a couple of Elysium transports and the GTSC Rosetta? I remember the Lucifer launching a bunch of useless fighters in that...
-
>150 in the final Silent Threat mission.
Damn Lokis.
-
How many waves of loki's do they have on that mission anyway? The first time I played that mission I tried killing them all so that I could go back to bombing the hades. I was there a long time.
-
Nearly infinite. I beta a lot of my own missions, and a lot of my own missions are the sort I can't win, but I assume someone who does nothing but FS can.
I find that the trick to much heavy combat in FS is to run away. Very, very fast.

Yeah... "Killer Rabbit" was the name... it was fun. Too easy, in fact.
-
Easy? Are you nuts?
Too many freakin escorts, and I was in a bomber, and you cant dumbfire bombs
and I managed to kill that medical ship about 8 times trying to knock out the radar dish...
bloody pansies...

...of course, by "easy" I meant the amount of kills you got without actually dogfighting etc. It almost felt like cheating. :)

I don't remember exactly how hard this mission was otherwise, but it wasn't too simple, that's for sure. :)
-
Hmmm.... All I've done is take out 4 Orions in FS1 with a Herc while beign hunted by Apollos.
-
No he was talking about one of the Altair missions in FS1, the second I believe.
In the last mission of Twilight a Demon jumps in with swarms of never ending Shivan ships, I took some care to avoid repeating waves of 4 ships at a time while still making it insane to stay behind ;)

Pssshhh, that's easy. Disarm and disable, then the rest is easy, especially seeing as you're in FS1. It's not like the Orions will dodge your shots. :p
-
Single eh, well, when I ask other wingmans to jump out then...I think I got about 50 kills. The last FS2 mission!
-
When I select a hostile target, I usually ask my wingmen to ignore it while I have it for lunch. ;)

Place the cyclops in the center and the ships go "BOOM". :p

Yes, but it was 4 Orions, hordes of fighters, and an Arcadia against me and 1 Orion. My Orion dealt less than 1/4 the damage my Herc did.

So? :D
-
The funny part is actually I died after destroying the Orions by crashing into the Arcadia.

Meanwhile, while you're acquiring a lock, the SGs and Hercs kill you....
-
68 kills in Argonautica on insane, it took hours of frustration to beat that mission.
-
Which is better? 60 kills or saving Capella?
-
Bah, screw Capella! :D:D:D
-
Approximately 65 on the last Silent Threat mission. And they were all GTF Loki.
-
I got close to that amount myself but I flew a bomber so I got the kill for the hades too! :)

 Go out with a bang, I guess.

Damn Lokis.
I bet you were playing that one on "VE" :p :p :p
Anyway, 106 for me in STV Gauntlet (not sure if it is STV but I know it was some gauntlet) on Insane but when Bava and I played Hell's Kitchen alone (and yes we won the medal :p) he got 128 :jaw: kills while I got some measly 40...:(

If you knew anything about me, you'd know that I play everything on Insane. Aeos Affair, Bearbaiting, ST. All on insane. (I got all four BFReds and the bonus on Insane, once; could never replicate it.)
-
Insane rules. ;) If I don't get everything on Bearbaiting, I keep playing it over and over again until I do; as a result, I have played the mission over 200 times now and can get everything most of the time now on insane. :):D

(btw I was just kiddin, some people tend to think I am a malicious idiot who is sarcastic all the time, but I'm not :p:p:p)
I play everything on insane of course, and I like it better that way because weapons (especially in fs2) like beams, do more damage then on a measly easy setting.
And I could get all of the REDZ and the Flak cannons on insane any day of the week, however that comes with you when you have played the mission about 50-100 times...(yea I know I'm a loser) :D:D:D

Oooh boye. You play well. The only time I've gotten the medal, was the time I was playing with Bava and Cetanu. :p . I've gotten some 60 in Touch of Fate.
-
I have no clue on kills, but i can kive bava a run for his money in a good dogy on his host .. beaten him a couple of times DAMN DRUNK ... wait amin im one 2 :p
-
I got all mine on Killer Rabbit. 67 I believe...

Hahah, sorry, no harm intended :D
CP?!!! 200 times?! Darn... :eek2: Even for me, that's quite impressive. Notably, 200 times was about the number of times I played through the FS2 demo, waiting for FS2. :D
-
Hey, I have no life. :D:D
The first time I tried Bearbaiting (it was on hard), I tried it over and over again some 32 times until I got all of the objectives. The next time I played the campaign (insane) and got to the same mission, I tried another 30 or so times until I beat the mission. From then on, the number of times I had to keep playing the mission to beat it decreased, until I got it to two or one. ;):D
-
Saving Cappella, of course :D
And I posted a humorous version of the dialogue from the mission I got 4 Orion kills....

Quite impressive, indeed... ;)
You did get the bonus LRed, right? :)
-
hehe I found that out almost accidentally; the second or third time I played the mission, I happened to wander near the back of the Sathanas while chasing a Mara fighter. When I targeted the Sathanas again, it had selected the LRed turret. I thought that it was an anti-fighter beam and proceeded to destroy it, after which I got the bonus objective and the message from Command, so I decided that it must have been an anti-capital beam instead. ;)
-
But really, what's the point? It's not like the Sathanas ever uses it against the Colossus....

That LRed actually shot at me. I think it was a glitch in the game, since I doubt capship beams are meant to target fighters and bombers; but I have been hit by Shivan capship beams quite a few times in the past, so I can't discount that. :D
The purpose? Why, for the achievement of it... ;)
