This is a marien for a freespace mod im making for Unreal 3.
I used shots of the marines form FS1 in one of the movies (Hall Fight).
What do you all think, it is a WIP so it will be tidied up.

though Im not sure since it's freespace stuff but.. hell It looks good anyway, just needs a little more of work on it and that's it :P

There is no temperature in a vacuum. But, likely so on the trouser thing. We don't need fs bulges. Good work so far. For now their fs marines tanning on some beach planet?

Yeah I know Ive only dont the top half and I need to tidy up the polygon counts and weld the top half together.
And as I said im bading all the models off of the hall fight cinematic from FS1, so the guns will be like the ones they use in that, and some shivan technology aswell.
But yes trousers are a must.

More MUSCLES, especially below the knees.
Also- a small detail on the helmet- the Marines had a thick plate on their foreheads.

I think FS has reasonably proves us that it is set in an alternate universe where space is filled with air at atmospheric pressure and room temperature. We can hear sounds, walk around alien starships without protective face ware and most importantly our ships decelerate when flying with idle engines.
The marine is good. I understand that pants are WIP.

You haven't watched the cutscene, have you?

Spaceships do decelerate without thrust. Only not quite as quickly as depicted by Freespace ;)

Occasional particle collisions etc, you might lose maybe 1 metre/hour per year.
Gravity also plays a role in both directions, but that's a lot more complex ;)

I notice most of the posts about the previous WiP referred to the Marine's lack of trousers rather than any other real major issue. :p

Well that is quite a major issue, no? I don't think you're allowed to be a marine without trousers.

in any case, the model is looking rather nice but the waist needs massive amounts of fixage.

The gun is done in a different scene. Because this is going to be for Unreal III.
Before I can reduce polycounts I need to get the base character for Unreal III and -surprise-surprise its in the wrong format, so im getting someone to convert it for me.
