This is the standard issue Terran Rifle for my FS2 Mod.
Again this was just started about half an hour ago. So isnt near finished yet.

I think it is. Looks quite similar to the weapon that one of the marines are using.

This is a picture about ten minutes of work later. You can see the detail added on the main body and the minor tweaks made to the muzzle.

To be honest not that far.
Ive only just started work on it. But I know the storyline and what IM trying to achieve.

Maybe you could use this model? The back handle is messed up, but I made it after seeing yours, and wondered what I could do.

Right now, it's only colored via Vertex coloring.

If you look in the trailer their hands are strapped above the weapon.

I doubt that is for all weapons. That is standard for a large weapon, like a gatling device, or in this case a pulse weapon. I mean, they're big because they aren't sure what they are going to find... so, what do you take? The big guns.
