Title: [NTV] - Built in messages, how to manage their table in a proper way?

The last time I tried to edit messages.tbl the game used to crash continuously so I decided to use a regular table from the root VP.

I now want to edit built-in Command messages for NTV: all I want is to change the texts and use a different Head ANI(CM1). I may leave the message source as it is("Command") because new FRED features allow me to change the source without any problems(I'm using "NTF Command")...

Do you have any hints for me? This time I want to venture into messages.tbl editing and without causing problems... :)

I could do that if you want. Done a few messages.tbl for different mods ( End War, for example ).

Though what exactly did you do the last time, that the game started crashing? Messages.tbl are the easiest tables to mod, in my opinion, so...

The last time I simply changed the text of a few built-in messages(from wingmen) and the game crashed. Now that I think of it the problem may have been caused by the mods I was using(INFR1+Steadfast+mediavps)...
