It wasn't clear it was going to happen. 'Caprica' was only greenlighted very recently, so this is valid news.

As far as i was aware, Caprica was going to be a mini-series or a Feature length like Razor.

Oh yes. There's another thing upcoming as well - "The Plan" which runs parallel to the original mini-series

That the pilot had been greenlit and made is old new. That they liked the pilot so much that they decided not to show it until after they had a whole series is new.

I suspect that's why there is some confusion over this. :)
