Sooo.... Basically, I am just trying to find a phone number for my roommate from the looney bin. She's still there, so I wanna call her mum to get her to pass along a message for me.
All I have so far is her myspace, which I can't really see until she accepts me as a friend. I know her name, and I know, in a general sense, where she lives. x.x
Anything anybody can do to help? I've no idea when she's getting out. It's not likely to be too soon considering that she's on escape precautions right now...
-
You have her last name? Phonebook would be good if you have that and where she's from.
Otherwise, you'll have to resort to tracking her adress down online or finding friends of hers who could tell you how to get in touch.
-
She lives several counties away, though, so I don't know how to get ahold of a phonebook for there. And also it's a really common last name and I don't know her parents' names.
-
Figured that. Well all I can suggest is an online-phone directory or hunting down some friends of hers.

-
I didn't get any names of friends from her... we were supposed to be discharged on the same day and by the time I found out she wasn't going home, she was already tranq'd and locked up.
I am checking the online thinger now.
-
Gah. I gotta go.
Here's what I've got:
<personal details removed>
...
:[
Halp?
-
If you know anyone from that high school, you could call them and see if you can get your hands on a directory. Beyond that though, I'd be very careful about posting someones information on the net.
-
I knowww, but I'm desperate. I'm going to be out of the country in about 26 hours. I don't know anyone from Cumberland County so it's like rawrghblrgh.
-
if she has a myspace , does she have an msn, hotmail account if you can try and see her contact details , sometimes it works even if your not budddied......
-
This more and more starts to sound a little too unbelieveable.
Maybe Police could help?

You know what, I don't think it is a good idea to put anyone's personal information out there on the web without their consent. I'm sorry but it is for the best if I remove them from your post, iamzack.

You do make a good point. I kinda doubt that Zack is a pedo in disguise though, because we have a supposed photo of her. It's possible that Turambar is a pedo and Zack is a sock puppet, but something tells me it would have been apparent before: Ts been around a long time. It's a little too close to paranoid to say this is unbelievable, but it would be foolhardy to assume the best.
Also at <censored age>, this kid hopefully has the brains to avoid anything sticky anyway. This is of course not a good reason to provide any information anyway. The nice thing is that nobody has any real information of value, so there's not too much of a moral dilemma, yet.
-
i grew up in loonie bins, they tend to frown on the patients having friends, and wont give out numbers

It's not like I don't know where she is. She's still at the hospital. On escape precautions. I just want to call her mum to get her mum to call the hospital and give Erin a message from me is all. I wanna make sure Erin's okay. -.-
I doubt police will help. You get instant UR or ITP if you get caught exchanging contact info because they don't want us keeping in touch when we get out.
-
What's UR\ITP?
Anyway, your best bet is probably just process of elimination. Call a number and ask if it's [name removed]'s mom\dad.
-
UR - unit restriction
Means you are stuck in the Day Room all day and you can't leave to go to the cafeteria or the gym.
ITP - individual(ised?) treatment program(/plan?)
Basically isolation from other patients. They put you in the hallway next to the front desk just outside the day room and you have to do a stack of work sheets where are usually random bull**** like essays about how you can control your anger better.
There's other things too, but I was only ever on checks, suicide precautions (UR, but not as a punishment), and a brief ITP for sleeping during SW group the morning of my discharge.
Buuuttttt...... Yeah, Erin was beyond all of that by the time they gave her shots.
It's only about 6pm, so I guess I will do the process of elimination thinger. Thanks for PMing me the link, skynet.
-
No problem. Hearing about people being commited strikes a nerve.
-
Buuuttttt...... Yeah, Erin was beyond all of that by the time they gave her shots.
Yeah, cause drugging people rather than addressing the underlying problem with their living environment is the best idea...
-
They told her she was going home and then told her she wasn't. And she snapped. And the whole thing escalated from there.
-
Point proven.
-
If only she was less cute and I was less invested in eventually getting into her pants. Then I could forget about the whole thing and get on with my life.
-
I'm not really an expert relating to the mental health services, especially not so in the US. The thing that I found interesting is that patients are forbidden to contact each other in civil life. For some reason, I feel there are pretty good reasons behind this decision as the common sense would dictate otherwise. In order to have that there must be a lot of patient history that shows otherwise. If not, the doctors have broken their oaths (which, on the other hand, would not surprise me either).

-
They don't want us exchanging contact info because some people are there for homicidal/anger/etc issues and they don't want them coming and killing us or whatever.
Or, at least, that's what I was told.
-
:wtf:
/me contemplates changing iamzack's title to "Crazy bisexual hot pink-haired jailbait stalker with mono and mirror syndrome"
/me decides against it
This is like an episode of House, or something.
-

Hello, State? I need someone to tell me who I can and can't contact kthx4ur halp.
Argh.
-
With the exception that this seems to be real.
-
1. not crazy
2. lesbian
3. blonde
4. not jailbait where I live
5. HAD mono. months ago.
6. what is mirror syndrome?
7. I don't watch TV. :\
-
Oh! oh! Update, I found a girl who is a senior at Erin's school on Myspace. She is helping me find somebody who knows her. :D
-
2) Turambar?
6) Assuming aspects of other people's identity - e.g. calling yourself Zack (admittedly this is a very tenuous bullet point) (or maybe not)
-
2. I make exceptions.
6. Oh. Yeah, I do that a lot.
-
lawls
It's like a really weird sitcom or something.
I made out with a 14 YO when I was 16, and it was still bizzare . . . couldn't you just go a year younger or something
-
She's really really cute, though... :[

I took my exboyfriend's virginity when we were both 14.
Is this now the "teehee, who is the most ****ed up" thread now?
-
i've ignored this until now, but,
WHAT. THE. F*CK.
-

What the **** at what?
-
In retrospect, being the really introverted kid in grade/high school who never really did anything and didn't have any real friends was far better than some of the alternatives. :p
-
Goddammit, this flu has me hallucinating **** now.
I should really take some ColdFX before browsing the forum.
-
God I love this forum.
-
If only she was less cute and I was less invested in eventually getting into her pants.
You women and your obsession with clothes and shopping.
...oh wait. ;)
-
I don't think i've quite read anything so ridiculous, epic, and strangely surreal at the same time.

It's pretty damn amazing.

2. I make exceptions.
I'm still trying to wrap my head around this one...but I think I'll just say "hawt" and leave it at that. :p
-
Wow... I really never thought I would see a thread more surreal then the mono grand slam finals.
I was wrong
so totally and completely wrong
-
Iamzack, I don't suppose they mentioned anything about Dependent PD that you're casually omitting by chance?
Seriously guys... judge things based on ALL the facts. You're hearing one side of the story, and if any of you have any psychology background it should be setting off some alarm bells.
-
What's Dependent PD?
But, ah, yeah, I guess it should go without saying that everything I say is gonna be, erm, my side of the story.
And maybe it's not that accurate seeing as they started me on 1000mg of depakote the day after they decided I was bipolar. (For reference, 750mg is the maximum recommended dosage for anybody.)
I'm still reeling from that ****. XP
-
This is easily one of the best threads ever. :D
-
it's easily something. i'm still trying to decide what though.
-
How boring does your life have to be in order for you to find this thread and that other thread epic or best ever or whatever else? Seriously?
-
we are talking about a geek forum here
-
he has a point.

Please continue.

That's the first thing I thought of when I started reading this thread.

what i meant to say and using the word "geek" is that alot of ppl here know the internal workings of computers and programming, modelling etc better than the internal workings of girls ( noting that there are possibly 1 female for every 999 guys in this forum so when iamzack post there is a rush of blood to the lower cranium( the one situated below the naval) and now ppl have seen the picture and read about her predatotry lesbian tendancies( i used predatory in a non malicous way) this creates an interest and a lot of dribbling ......
it is also very difficult to read someones psychological state from a post in a forum , how much is real how much is playing to the crowd etc
-

Umm... you do realize that many of the commoners around here are in fact engaged? And then there's Dekker. :nervous:
But no escape for you now that I have quoted you. :p
-
I find this thread a bit funny, and pretty sad. It sounds all very familiar, I've known many people in similar circumstances, and it makes me wonder about life etc.

im very happy to learn that some ppl have managed to makether jump from AI towards GI : if you look at my profile you will see that i am an old fart (41 years old the other day) and i have 2 children one of who is as old as some ppl here...... as for decker ... the exception does noty break the rule , maybe he makes up for 10% of the sexual activity of this community........
but i think it can be said that many men fantasise about lesbians and as i said (and you have quoted) most ppl here are not in the relationship game......
-
And then there's Dekker. :nervous:
What do you mean by that?
-
My ears burned so i checkec in.... What do you mean by that?
srsly........
-
Some people some to have gotten the impression you're our resident Don Juan. :p
-
IPA, Terran Emperor and yourself have been out on the town with me, i don't come accross as that do i? ;)
Some people some to have gotten the impression you're our resident Don Juan. :p
Is that good or bad by the way ;7
What's this topic all about by the way?

When he sings the catalogue aria, we'll be sure....
http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=9SeCmzIU-LA (http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=9SeCmzIU-LA)
EDIT:
Don Juan is the guy from Don Giovanni who keeps records of all his conquests (il catalogo รจ questo). Leporello is his servant who keeps track of his conquests and advertises them to Don Elvira (in this case)
EDIT2:
Just in case there is some confusion, Don Giovanni is Don Juan. (Don Juan is in the spanish version)

BWAHAHAHHAHAH Good morning again :p its almost 1 pm but still, what the hell. GOOOOOD MOOOOOOONING!!!!
-
UPDATE!
Erin's out of the looney bin as of yesterday! Woohoo!
-
And just in time for Christmas.
Yay.
...
Pardon my enthusiasm.
-
Oh, hush. Even if Christmas is kinda a lame holiday, at least she is not spending any more of her winter holiday from school in there. ^^
