Title: Stupid Debris, who needs it anyway?
Post by: Black Wolf on December 22, 2008, 12:30:27 pm
OK, so I've got my model in game, and it looks pretty good. Only one LoD, but I'm not that adventurous just yet. But I do want it to have debris, and this is where I'm stumped. No matter what I fiddle, FS refuses to show the debris lod, both ingame and in the lab.

 - I made the pof with PCS2, which recognizes the debris as separate subobjects.
 - I've assigned those subobjects to the debris section of the header, and made sure the textures are correctly applied. PCS will show dds texs on all subobjects, including debris.
 - Modelview recognizes the debris lod and shows the textures when I put them into pcx format.

All this suggests to me that I've done it right. But FS refuses to recognize it. This is really, really frustrating. Any ideas?

I can't tell you how many times I've had a problem wait until just after I ask for help to fix itself.
