It's the tbl flag. I didn't modify anything in the tbl entry except the pof name.
The flag for ship type defines the magnification in the target status window.
A cruiser flag is a higher magnification than that of a capital ship. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

Whoa!! That NHJ Victorious is one excellent piece of work, one of the nicest models I've seen in a long time. What's it's background and could I have a copy of the model?

The NHJ Victorious is Eishtmo's personal warship. It was first described on the Neo Hammer Of Light 2 story, with very little detail. All that I knew was it's dimensions and the existance of a "beam ring" that rotated, firing beams to all directions.
I had to imagine all the rest (what means the whole design). Eishtmo approved it, and then I modelled the ship. The main gun is on the middle of the two forwars protusions. I never found the time to texture it, but if you guys here really want I might delay some of my other projects to bring this thing to life. By the way, it's roughly the same time as the TFDx Apocalypse. Here are two other pics of it:

Actually I'm having troubles getting the mesh with the turrets on to work- Fred keeps on crashing when I try to place the ship (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/frown.gif) I'm just glad I decided to test it before finishing off the last turrets- now it's only half a days work down the drain.

Nope, aint that cause I never got round to putting it through FSMM2- it's something to do with the file conversions (I can't work in truespace, so I had to do cob>3ds (using 3d exploration) add the turrets in Anim8or, export to 3ds the use 3D exploration for 3ds>cob. After that it doesn't work (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/frown.gif)

That's the problem then Claw...90% of the time when I tried usiing a 3dX converted Cob COB2fs2 replied "invalid file,..bin info not found"

Alrighty then man, if I finish off adding the remaining turrets (just the secondaries, anti-cap beam turrets and laser turrets to do), then apply textures to them, I'll send you the file.
I just wanna check this tho- my friend Violent-G (who posts on the VBB) came up with the idea of using sam-launcher like turrets for the secondaries- would this be cool with you? (they'd be rotating multi-parts).

Hehe... ummm... production of the turreted model might be a bit further away than I thought. I just played on starlancer an I realised that I got the ship the wrong way round (long floaty bits forwards, not back). So the main guns are at the back. It's gonna take me a while to re-shuffle them and try to keep the balance of the ship...

Well all I was able to do was view it in modelview 32 so for,..without a texture mapping FS2 would crash before it could load the model.
But the model was tested in FS2 before I sent it to you so a few turrets shouldn't kill her off (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)
