Title: So, what did you get?

Every year, the thread is made, and this one is no different :D

I got Dark Knight and the new X Files movie on Blu Ray, a GPS (handheld, not for the car), the Godfather books, a shirt, a bunch of towels and vouchers. Plus I got myself a ticket to The Who so that my Dad (who got his as a gift from me) wouldn't be going alone.

Hrmmm well a couple of WWII aviation books, a Nintendo DS Lite (blue/black), New Super Mario....umm....socks and things like that.  Some of the gifts I got for other people were great...the looks on their faces of total surprise (and delight...they really did want these things :D).  So mission accomplished!

It's a 3D mouse--like a super sensitive joystick with 6 degrees of freedom. 3D modeling is gonna be so amazing now.

I also got a whole plastic storage system for my Lego, with movable dividers and everything. :D Plus Spore and Metroid 3.

Most of my gifts come from family,we get together every Christmas Eve and have a huge gift exchange. This is all in addition to $50 dollars my great grandma gave me.

A NeonDragonArt book and kit (Santa brought me it),

a media player (i looks like an ipod, but its smaller, has functional buttons, and 4 GIGS of memory),

SupCom: Forged Alliance (i had to change my pants after that one!),

Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Santa again. between this, SCFA, and the neondragonart book, i got everything i asked for),

an "I AM THE STIG" T-shirt (my dad got this for me, i hereby consider him redeemed. favorite show of all time, I'm gonna wear it to school the day we get back, when people ask me, I'm gonna pull out my new media player and show them the 4 hours of top gear i can put on it),

A lot of clothes,

A bunch of Disney pins, we're going back soon,

an Alex Rider book (never read any before),

'Tales of Beedle the Bard' (any fan of Harry Potter would recognize this),

more clothes,

$30.00 Gamestop giftcard,

A pair of Wii sleep pants, complete with a Wii T-shirt,

$25.00 giftcard for WalMart's music download site (an iTunes giftcard was something I'd expressed interest in, but never put on my pitifully small list),

and a REALLY nice stool for sitting on when i go out hunting (the one i used this year barely fits my little sister).


I'm a spoiled brat.  :p  I really don't mind the title, though. Last year i just got a lot of hunting equipment, a bunch of books, a rubix cube, and a crapload of clothes. everyone said it was my 'transition year'. And i still need to collect from a few of my dad's friends who are coming over to my grandparents house later (we got there yesterday, gonna stay for a while) and our neighbours, who we'll see eventually.

A couple of calendars (my family always get each other calendars on Christmas)
And an interesting device for viewing movies discreetly: worn like a pair of glasses, and only you can see the screen, makes you look like Cyclops

Oh yeah, and they paid for half of the Electronic Wind Instrument currently en route to my house, so there's that too.

Fascism, unlike nazism, wasn't a full dictatorship. Also, fascim didn't feature the same obsession for racism we have seen in nazism.

How coincidental. I got all three of those. :p I already finished Starship Troopers, and I'm about 50 pages into Armor right now.

I also got the first Foundation book, the rest of which I'm going to buy with my Barnes and Noble gift certificate. Then I'm going to borrow my brother's copy of the Mars trilogy and read that.

Overall, I don't mind getting $50+ dollars of books for Christmas.

Well, an admiral doesn't need to know how to drive. He has a staff driver. :p Plus when on the Galatea, he just says "Helm, engage subspace drive!".

That, on top of The Orange Box, means that I have more games than I can deal with for the next few months!

STALKER is fantastic. Clear Sky not so much, but still, it's a superb game.

Getting the real ending is quite difficult. I don't want to spoil how to do it, but it's worth it. Try to make sure you do all the optional tasks during the main quests.

pissed off with my gifts i just bought myself a geforce 260 to replace my damaged 8800gts. now my quad core computer works again.
