Title: Status on War in Heaven
Post by: Grimper on December 25, 2008, 11:57:55 pm: Would we please be able to have a progress report on War in Heaven? Like how many missions are FREDed, models done, voice acting etc etc.

Havnt heard anything from it in a while.

If you want an idea of how much work has been done, then the modpack is pretty much complete (ships, weapons, audio) with just a bit of interface work to do for some of the new ships. 14 missions are FREDed. There's no set mission limit so the final campaign might have any number of missions. To help speed mission design I'm having two shorter campaigns covering two storylines running parallel to each other.

Voice acting won't get touched until after release (and most likely not until after the first chapter's voice acting is complete).

While I have similar feelings, I recommend Silent Threat Reborn and Transcend. Give 'em a shot if you want equivalent quality.

STR is certainly perhaps the best campaign I've played - competing with BP. The voice acting was just brilliant. :yes:

Quite true, what really amused me where

those shivan noises on the mission where the abaddon appears... wow, I mean WOW!
just like in BP, but with a little more diversity.

I've played Transcend a while ago and loved it, I didn't make a start on STR, will do now
