Title: Briefing and Afterburner

When i start a game, i can't get the briefing, the first one is there, but when i press the arrow key, nothing happens, i can go to the weapons and ship loadout though. If i give up and go playing, my afterburner doesn't work, any ideas? I seem to remember my after burner not working in the fsport mod, not sure how it got fixed...

Which INF release are you refering to? The old INFA?

Do you have the patch? Also, did you place INFR1 files properly?

Patch, no, files in the right spot, it's pretty self explanatory isn't it, main file goes in the fs2 file, OR extract it and add data files into the data file.

Are you running Inferno through Freespace Open, or as a retail mod?

Retail, it said so, and the scp didn't work, there was one bank of missiles and everyone had an ulysses, is it meant to be open with the patch?

If you're running on retail, you can fix your afterburner by running the program in compatibility mode for Windows 98.

You can do that somewhere under 'properties' if you right-click on the executable.

thankyou very much, that fixed the briefing too, thanx all. Now i can play uberfreespace ubered up more!!! :D :D :D
