So like 2 years ago or something like that, I made the Descent Tribute (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B9pAuQotEro) video. Unfortunately, the RIAA has decided to make themselves even more annoying and to actually give me a valid reason to hate their guts. This video's audio has now been muted (or will be once youtube processes the request), and the following message added to the description:
EDIT: The audio in this video has been muted due to the RIAA being anal copyright whores. Unfortunately for them, this video is still available for download here: http://www.ericmhobbs.com/Blackhole/storage/Dtribute_highres.wmv (with the audio included). I would apologize for the inconvenience except that it isn't my fault, so i will instead suggest that someone shove their boot up the RIAA's ass.
It should be perfectly legal to use low-quality versions of songs in music videos, especially when the band itself makes such versions available for streaming anyway.

You're not the only one, BH. Not too long ago, a user called IAmTheGang had the same issues with a video he made, titled "Apoopcalypse Now". Apparently, one of the songs he used in it violated copyright, so whoever was in power muted the whole thing. While this user replaced the silence with an AudioSwap, he was so unimpressed with it that he uploaded a new version that used musical scores that weren't copyrighted or which copyright has expired. In addition, he borrowed the AudioSwap music he used in the muted original and spliced it with CD-I voices.
Apoopcalypse Now (audio replaced with "When The Saints Go Marching In" by The Bad Jazz Brothers via the AudioSwap feature) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ywLfkZq272w)
Apoopcalypse Now v2.1 (in response to the above) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TryVNbJlKUI&fmt=18)

What was the original music in the Descent Tribute (I don't feel like downloading it just to find out right now)
-
Numb - Linkin Park

I've also got your video here (http://sectorgame.com/d3/videos.php), BH. They better not come near me.

Some of the audio is chipped in this link, http://www.ericmhobbs.com/Blackhole/storage/Dtribute_highres.wmv, but it is essentially very good, BH.

Numb - Linkin Park
Well in that case they were doing you and all of us a favor by silencing it

Hey, don't diss my at-one-time cell phone ringtone. :nervous:
(I was young. I was stupid. I make no excuses.)
-
I don't even use a ringtone. :blah:
-
You should. The ladies love them.
-
Well, I don't.
-
I made an MP3 ringtone from a recording of an old Western Electric rotary dial phone ringing, so my cellphone rings like a PHONE instead of some electronic beeping toy. ;) Yes, people (especially those over 30, like me, who remember such phones) give me odd looks when I get calls in public. :P
Cool video you did.
-
My ringtone is this (http://gentlesinewave.ytmnd.com/) except about 20 times louder
-
I have "Tank!" Which owns all of you.
