Indie Game of the Year:
The Babylon Project (http://www.moddb.com/games/the-babylon-project)
Earth Defense (http://www.moddb.com/games/earth-defence)
Wing Commander Saga (http://www.moddb.com/games/wing-commander-saga)

Mod of the Year:
Fate of the Galaxy (http://www.moddb.com/mods/fate-of-the-galaxy)

Not really a HLP question but is there any reason that only TBP, Dispora, and Earth Defense are associated with FS2_Open?  I voted for those & Sage but didn't even know the others were listed.

Voted for now though.   :pimp:

Dunno.  How do you associate a mod with FSO?

Couldn't tell you how I even did TBP.  I originally had it associated with FS2 but Kara updated it to FS2_Open when the GOG FS2 came along.

As much I have have enjoy the most recent campaign releases my vote is already taken by Mechwarrior Living Legends( http://www.mechlivinglegends.net/ ).  It is a multi-player total conversion mod for Crysis currently in development for those who are wondering.

Aurora Paradox
Clan Smoke Jaguar
Alpha Star
Star Colonel

EDIT: I just realized you can vote for multiple mods so I will be voting for some of the mods mentioned in the original post.

I just edited the main entry and changed the engine option to FS2_Open. That said if your mod requires FS2 in order to run it really should be in the Freespace 2 mods section. The FS2_Open section is really for TCs.

I voted for the one's I like. It seems kinda silly to have unreleased stuff available to vote on... (well I imagine I will like it once it is released... lol)

If it's based in the FS2 universe but doesn't use FS2 to run, it's still known as a TC correct?

TC stands for total conversion, so yeah. The line is drawn based on whether you need FS2 in order to run the game or not. Remember that FS2 is a commercial product so you can't count on everyone having it any more.

Would FS2 classify as running on the FS2_Open engine?  Currently it is listed as unknown.  That would sort of link everything together.

That might work. :) Not sure really. Who has the rights to change that page anyway?

EDIT : Diaspora just withdrew from the MotY. I've posted an explanation for why on the page linked to above.

Shouldn't we support TBP or WCS instead? I mean, just like Diaspora, what ED has released is now old and partially outdated. I'd be happy to support ED but we first need to release something better than the old demo.

At this stage, it's only voting for nominations.  After the 17th, you'll be able to vote again to rank the mods.

Thanks for all your votes for ST:R in advance, too. ;)
