Yes, I'm feeling like an idiot right now because even though I can do a lot of stuff in FRED pretty easily, I don't know how to put new ships[i.e. ones not included in the standard VPs, ex. GTD Raynor] into FRED so I can use them in missions[for my personal enjoyment only]. I have searched for quite a while for an answer, and would like to stop. Help is greatly appreciated. ;7

Well the should be in a mod folder. If they are all you need to do is create a shortcut and add -mod <foldername> to the FRED command line.

Thank you my friend, you are a FRED hero, hehe. Someone should put that bit of info where someone can find it, for future reference.

Create a folder in your FS2 directory, name it MYMOD, inside that create a folder named data, inside that folders named models, maps.
Place the pof file (s) in models, the textures in maps ( should the models have table files, create a folder named tables and place 'em there, but make sure they have the .tbm file ending.
Then rightclick on the FRED short cut on your desktop ( assuming you have one on your desktop ),
click properties then add this - Mod MYMOD, apply and voila.
Play around with FRED and to play the newly created mission with new ships:
Fire up the launcher, go to the mod tab and click select mod, select MYMOD, click apply and have fun!
EDIT: FUBAR was faster. :p
