I need to find the original fs soundtrack. anyone know where that is? i've looked and looked and i can't find it anywhere
-
Well, get DM tools, and download the FSO installer. Should come with a VP called "Warble.vp"
All the sound tracks are in that VP file.

i need an interwebs link. hang on i didn't check game music jukebox. feel free to call me an idiot if i missed that one
-
What Tantalus was trying to say was that the music is easily extractable from warble.vp in your FS2 folder using VPView (http://www.descent-network.com/descman/).
Much easier than searching the whole interwebs for it.
-
i actually need a link to a streaming version. which i found, in said obvious location. it's because i need to give someone an example of in game music for a project.
-
It's also been uploaded by multiple users (legally or otherwise) over the almost 10 years since FS2 came out. And I don't see a huge reason why you would have any more trouble uploading something you extracted from a VP than any other player.

Search for 'Freespace 2 music' on YouTube.
