So I get this message when I try and run Freespace 2 on Vista 64 Ultimate.
"Freespace has determined that you have -2mb of memory and required 32MB of memory to run. If you think you have more than 32MB check if you are running smartdrive.exe (which im not, wtf is smart drive)."
I have 4 Gb of ram...
Is it because I am running vista? Is there a quick fix for this?
I installed the freespace 2 OSP and it does the same thing, obviously.
My dxdiag is here (http://www.sendspace.com/file/med4wr)

Get a 3.6.10 build of FS2_Open. http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php/board,173.0.html
Retail and earlier versions of FS2 had a 2 gig limit. Once you exceeded that it started counting backward so 4gig = 0.

Once you have a 3.6.10 build and the Launcher, you can try out the 3.6.10 MediaVPs for tremendous graphical boost.

Yeah I run FSO on Vista64 Business with 4GB and it works fine.

Thanks fellas, so glad I busted this out.

So glad I've included this issue in The Epic List of Known Issues (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php/topic,56279.msg1180353.html#msg1180353) quite some time ago.

Release the movie already. Nobody wants to read an epic.

I wish I could have a negative amount of RAM. :(
