Title: Intercepted transmissions, GTD Legacy
Post by: ShadowGorrath on January 20, 2009, 03:32:20 pm
Hello,

So we've intercepted some of their transmissions, just as we were ordered. However, for some reason we were unable to decode it. We've tried all the codecs for decoding, but the farthest we got was recovering some of the words or letters, but that's all. Sending this to you for further investigation, as the high ranking officers and specialists might be able to decode it with proper equipment and software.

Here is the coded transmission that we have intercepted:

GTD Legacy, signing off.

This is different. Simpler actually. And you don't need to do it if you don't wanna know the backstory.

There'll also be multiple of these, assuming that the current one gets decoded.

What is this for anyway? :P
End War or something else entirely?

Shouldn't you know? :p It's for something connected with End War.

Nice edit of that CB Ani, by the way.

So we're supposed to somehow decode the message from the picture . . . and it'll reveal a spoiler related to End War.
Ok.

The font there is probably webdings or something.
After its put back into normal text, it should be readable English, unlike the Vasudan letter.

Figured it was something like that.  I went through my entire font library though, and I saw nothing that matched :(

Same...
Dang...
Even the Vasudan letter gave us the Vasudan font. If it isn't something on PCs or Macs by default, its not gonna get cracked I don't think.

All-caps/small-caps difference? If not, then I'll upload mine. It's only half the proplem to turn it into words anyway.

Shouldn't we decode it in a "normal" way?

U know, "e" is the letter used most often, guessing for 2- and 3-letter worlds... What do you think?

You can decode it any way you want.

And in Webdings, it matters wheter the letter is in all-caps or small-caps.
