Title: A problem with the FS2 Open Installer
Post by: Aquilonius on January 23, 2009, 09:52:25 am
I downloaded the FS2 Open installer, but when I try to extract the files it asks me for a password. Any reason why?

Where did you download this particular installer? As far as I know, the one and only Turey's FSO Installer does no such things.

Edit: Yup. Just tested and Turey's Installer indeed does not ask for any passwords during extraction.

I was downloading from http://www.fsoinstaller.com/. Where is Turey's?

And before you ask, I got that link out of this forum...don't remember where.

That is Turey's Installer. But I just downloaded it, extracted it and it... well, extracted. What software are you using for extracting it?

Actually, never mind, I figured out what the problem was. But thanks anyway!

Lemme guess:  User Account Control on Windows Vista was asking for the administrator password?
