Title: Refuses to work with SCP enhancements

So I downloaded the works package, I own the retail SOTY edition game, and vanilla FS2 works perfectly. However, I downloaded the FSO installer, waited several hours for the works package to complete, everything was good, set the launcher to run 3.6.10, used the mediavps package as the mod, and it starts up and created a profile specifically for SCP, but the game crashes whenever I try to play a mission or start a campaign. Also, many of the models in the tech room viewer are incomplete or don't show up at all. The capital ships inly show bits and pieces, and all the transparent textures like glass are not showing up on the fighters. What do I need to do?

I know my computer is up to spec, it's an Alienware. I'm running XP Media Center Edition SP3, and like I said, regular FS2 works fine.

Download the MediaVPs manually from the release thread (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php/topic,58230.0.html). Use the Sectorgame links.

There have been an awful lot of reports about the MediaVPs being corrupt when downloaded with Turey's Installer. I'll have to notify the responsible parties.
