Title: Trying to use Mouse in FS1

Please tell me how to access the mouse mode. I unplugged my controller and I reinstalled the game and it just will not let me aim using the mouse. The control options say joystick/mouse but only the controller joystick ever worked and the keyboard, both of which I would rather shoot myself than use. Please help...

I can't remember if FS1 is the same but to use the mouse in FS2 Retail you have to press F2 and turn it on.

Thanks, I can't believe I didn't notice the on/off button above the sensitivity setting. Though even more I can't believe its default is off. I don't care if there are a million and one people who use $200 flight simulator joysticks, there are a million and two that start up PC games and use the mouse just as a given. Why isn't keypad controlling defaulted to off?...

its default is on because if the mouse and the keyboard default are off then the game wouldnt get very far ......

The defaults for FS2 open were changed to mouse on for exactly that reason. :)

I used to have an issue where the bank axis was mapped to the mouse somehow and you couldn't turn the mouse on without always spinning round and round. Dunno what that was caused by.

Just V's way of ****ing with newbies. Gets them every time. And pissed me off.
