You won't lose anything. The point here is that Turey's FreeSpace Open Installer only installs FreeSpace Open and some mods. It does not install FreeSpace 2.

You must buy FreeSpace 2 from Good Old Games (http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/freespace_2) and install it to the same folder where you've installed FreeSpace Open.

And please. Using a lot of CAPITAL LETTERS makes it seem like you're shouting at us. And shouting doesn't improve the situation at all.

1. Yes.
2. Yes.
3. FreeSpace 2 is about 1.2 GB. What you have now (4.2 GB) includes a few versions of the FreeSpace Open game engine, the MediaVPs (that make the game very pretty), many mods and the cutscenes in .ogg format. So once you've bought and installed FreeSpace 2, the folder should be about 5.4 GB.

I love GoG... makes me upset that my dad bought it in '01 for $30.

I got mine on ebay 3 years ago for $18. For all the treasure-hunters searching for this game, bids gave up relatively fast in the auction luckily for me.  :D

Hey, I had to shell out $50 for the Interplay 20th Anniversary edition a few years back.  You young whippersnappers don't know how easy you have it now. :p

Uh, is eight extra years of gameplay not worth the $24 difference for you?

Depends on the person.  :P
Plus, GoG does everything for you.  No worries about getting ripped off, or the disc getting scratched in the mail, or whatever.
