Title: Shader Fun

I love playing with shaders, because whenever you mess up, you get a funny picture instead of a runtime error

I saw a furry shader a while ago. Could this be added into FS2? Furry Ravanas?

Most people would probably recommend FX composer by Nvidia, but I actually find it easier to work with ATI's Rendermonkey, even if I hate ATI.

Rendermonkey does work with openGL, as for helpful links: GOOGLE IT (http://www.google.com/search?source=ig&hl=en&rlz=&=&q=GLSL&btnG=Google+Search&aq=f)

I feel like something will pop out at me if I cross my eyes and stare at it for long enough. :p

Did you ever try MentalMill?
http://www.mentalimages.com/products/mental-mill.html
You can get it for free, but I don't know if this will change later.

It's interesting that you can export you shaders in different formats, HLSL, GLSL, CG and even directly for MentalRay and rendering in tools like 3ds and Maya. (I bet they won't be optimized very well though...

Nvidia has included this tool in the new FX Composer version. Hoever in a limited "Artists Edition".
