Nice little advert (it was on the front page when I was there) for Freespace 2. They even link to the Source Code Project at the end of the article.
Figured people might have noticed it, but I just did.

Good...what about asking those guys to add more references to the SCP? :)

That was a kickass editorial.
"sending the astonishingly large SJ Sathanas literally hurtling at the player. It’s a monumental moment in gaming. It’s rare that you’re deliberately held by the throat and told how utterly insignificant you are."
Shouldent have given that away (about the Sathanas). But the last 2 lines were good. Lol.
"Sadly, unless somebody picks up the rights for it from former developers Interplay, we won’t see another Freespace title. Now it’s up to you, dear readers, to cry from the rooftops that there simply has to be a sequel, lest your angry, unfettered rage tear through the internet and throttle somebody.
That, or you can relish and publicise the work that’s still being done with the source code. With any luck, maybe somebody competent picks up the license, and we’ll get a Freespace 3."
Astonishingly very pro FS3..
And yeah they need a link to HLP.

I didn't realise Babylon 5: I've Found Her was a conversion of the FS2 engine.... Maybe he meant The Babylon Project?

Definitely. I've Found Her has no connections to FS2 whatsoever.
-
someone should tell him that.
and make sure he is aware that it will take more than just anybody to continue freespace.

Too bad this editorial was smeared with erroneous info. Interplay Published the game, Volition Devved it.
Then again, Interplay is known by all pc gamers who were around in the 90s, Volition is a relatively obscure game developper... Too bad the IP is Interplay's, and not :v:

They know that Volition developed the game. Interplay used to develop games by itself as well. They're just saying that Interplay has the rights now.
