Title: 3DXploration and MAX files

Guys, I regularly see one of you mention 3DXploration...

As it happens, Í've got it installed too...but I'm having serious troubles with...almost never can I get the textures to appear and MAX files in particular always have parts missing in the display or don't even show at all...

3DX screws up MAX files. You won't be able to see the model properly, mainly because it ignores any and all modifiers that you applied to it. And since on MAX most of the modelling and texturing is done through modifiers, you can imagine what you get.

Most of my ships appear as simple boxes on 3DX, 'cause that's the shape I start from. You can export the model as 3DS first - 3D Exploration will display them fine...

bummer...I was hoping to use 3DX just for that (MAX -> 3DS) since I don't have Max...
