A quick one. Karajorma reckons it shouldn't be too hard to do.
Could we have an extra feature in the background editor which allows us to change the order of the background bitmaps? This could be useful in an instance where I have a planet, but a black spot behind it. But putting a nebula on the black spot will cause it to appear in front of the planet bitmap which looks daft. There are ways around this but they tend to be a bit fiddly. An editor within the FRED interface itself would make things much more convenient.

Aren't they rendered in the order in which they are listed in the editor? In which case you could either copy a bitmap and stick it at the end, or open the mission in Notepad and copy-paste rearrange them.
But I do agree. Maybe a little indicator with Move Up and Move Down arrows would be nice in FRED.

Related to this,
Is it supposed to lose track of which bitmap I have selected after I do certain operations? Because that's really annoying.

Hells yes it is.

Yay, ambiguity? Hells yes it's annoying or hells yes it's supposed to?

Well actually, probably both. I doubt it's a bug, it was probably supposed to do that. And it is definitely annoying, so I agree it should be changed. Clear enough? :)

I've had that one on the list of stuff to fix for bloody ages. It's the same with messages in the events editor.
