.....phew. I thought this was going to be a thread about menstrual cycles.
And in answer to the IM question:
Almost never. They're too big of a security risk. I'm occasionally on Yahoo IM but usually only when requested to be so by e-mail or other non-IM communication(s).

whenever i am
for those of you who dont know yet, my AIM sn is LtNarol
-
Oh forgot to say when I'm on. I'm normaly on in the mornings 6:30-8:00 am (CST) and veryious times in the day.
-
You'll be informed about that on a need-to-know basis, pilot.
-
The Member List is A-1 SUPAR!!!
(lol I still have no idea what that means)

Oh no... here comes the internal-time-zone-based confusion...
I'm moving this to HL... it doesn't make sense here.
-
I can be on here anytime really, but I can be almost guaranteed to be on HLP sometime between 1AM and 7AM EST. I usually come here between 9AM and 11AM as well. ;)
-
I'm on ICQ after work and weekends.
-
On msn? All the time (mostly away downloading music mind...)
On ICQ? Brushes the dust off the program.... um... never...
-
I'm almost alwats on ICQ, sometimes MSN.
And on HLP sometimes 24 hours or more.
-
I am on Trillian every now and then, but not that often these days. (need to remember to turn that on more frequently :p)
-
I'm on ICQ only when I NEED to be, I hate those stupid thing's, people always poking into you're computer when you're busy , and you don't want to be a ***** but you can't talk, or the reverse hapens and you end up with fifteen open windows to people that arn't responding,
my sister on the other hand loves the damn things, and chat rooms too, but she's an idiot and gona end up kidnaped and on some kiddy porn site :sigh:, we've grounder her, hell I put a damn pad lock on the computer, she just unpluged the keyboard and mouse and pluged in the ones from her room, well I riped the plug out of that, she found another one, I cut the end of the plug off of that one, she sneaks down and fishes the mouse out from behind, I can tell she's been on becase she always erases the history of were she's been but leaves the history window open , not that that stops me from finding out were she's been, but there are fifty billion chat servers and I have to ban her from them one by one,
is there a way to totaly disable chat rooms, and IM software too?

:D:D:D
My brother just plays games when on the computer, but he cheats all the time. :p (and consequently only plays singleplayer)

If you know how you can close the ports that the IM proggies use. There'll be no way to connect to the IM server unless she knows a way around it.
As for banning her from every chatroom, I don't think there's an automatic way but if you go to IE's toolbox and look under content you can make a list of sites that you don't want her to access.
(I have to share my computer with my family. I've learned many a costly lesson  )

Never. If I can get on to someone's computer using it, it's a pretty damn big security risk.
