Just read the review at PC-Paradox.
So basically they've crossed Tachyon with GTA?
Sounds great and all but seems to me that the original idea has been perverted somewhat. I get the feeling that they're gonna flesh out the story missions and let all the generated missions be pretty crappy (ala Tachyon). But I suppose we'll just have to wait and see.

"ahem" I'm not gonna buy it "ahem" I'm gonna have it "ahem"

Buy? That would require money...
In order for me to get any money, I would have to cancel the insurance on my car, meaning I would have no way to work to make any money, so then I'd have to put the insurance back on to get to work, meaning I wouldnt have any money because I'd be paying insurance....

Subtle.
I was gonna put some smart-ass warez comment as the second option but I'd rather not force Shrike to take my knee-caps.

all that is quite interesting...
mmh, dunno, i'll try a demo first, I need to see how that mouse thinguy works ingame.

Sounds interesting, but as Venom said i want to try the demo first to see how the mouse works as i don't like the idea to use a mouse in a space game...I prefer keyboard;)

What would I want your kneecaps for? ;)
And Thorn has an excuse. He's from BC. Where's my hippie smillie? :D

Uhm, the thing will probably have system requirements way above my PC.
Hey, if anyone wants, they can donate me a new CPU. That way I could actually play Freelancer when it comes out. Then I'd be happy. You all want, me to be happy, don't you? ;7

Looking at the preview poste din the news, i don;t want it. it looks a bit crap, to be honset (only 16 scripted missions!?), the ships look a bit shabby and dull, and no joystick control sounds like a bit of a cop-out.
I'd rather stick with I-War2, to be honest. that even looks better, IMO.
-
it seems that there MAY be joystick support after all. bah, it looks good Aldo, it's just that the ship designs are kindda... hmm, no comment. but the BGs looks cool, and the capships looks really big unlike in Iwar2. bah, as one would say: wiat and see (tho after Starlancer I'm not very optimistic).
-
Starlancer was rushed - if they'd known it would've taken this long to get Freelancer out of the door I think a lot more work would've gone into it (since the idea was it set the scene for FL, which at the time was closer to release than it is now).
-
Well, I'll probably get it - that is, if I'm still alive when the thing is released. :p
