Title: Stupid n00b question

How do I add ships so I can make missions in FRED with them? I found a couple I would like to use on Freespacemods.net but I'm clueless as to how to include them into my missions/campaign. Help?

You need to install them as mods. Follow the hints you can find here:

You'll then have to create a shortcut to the FRED build you're using and add this to its path:

-mod <your mod folder name>
