Title: Stargate Universe?

I was just watching Sci-Fi SyFy, and saw something about Stargate Universe.  Has anyone heard anything about this?  Points to SyFy if true.

Yeah, I heard about Stargate Universe a while ago while Stargate Atlantis was still showing.  If it is on SyphilisFy, good.  They need something that doesn't suck.

And yeah, Stargate(Our universe), Stargate Atlantas (Second whole universe), Stargate Universe (Time to screw up someone elses universe! #3!)

Actually, Stargate Atlantis was still our universe, just a different galaxy.  I think Stargate Universe will take place in multiple galaxies.  I hope they keep a lot of the guys from Atlantis.  Most notably Shepard, Ronin, and McKay.

And everyone is slurring SyFy because the name is an attempt to piss off their core audience, namely fans of sci-fi.

as an english speaker living in france (who hayes dubbed films and tv) i watch tv on the net using various programs , part of my staple diet is scifi as for its programming the weekend tend sto be bad but am happy that i have been able to watch all of the stargate episodes now and hope the new one will be just as interesting....;and i hopefully will be awake for the last bsg tonight and will see the new stargate trailer this series has come a long way from the first film (which sucked)

Eh, the first film was okay.  The series is what really shines.  The first one, mostly, but Atlantis to a pretty good extent.

The Stargate films, either the old one or the more recent ones, really just didn't do it for me. SG-1 was brilliant, but I don't like Atlantis all that much.

And since this thread's about an MMO, shouldn't it be in the gaming forum...?

Stargate Universe is a new TV series.  Not the MMO.

Its shaping up to be interesting...if its succesful or not I'm not sure.  It might be extra good or just mediocre.  I doubt it'll be in between.  I really liked SG-1 and Atlantis for different reasons but both were (and still are) good shows to watch.  Now I catch them in re-runs or watching DVD episodes.
