Ok, im sorry if this has been discussed, but I just joined recently after finding the SCP freespace project and have been loving every moment of reliving the classic freespace and fresspace 2. having recently beat derlict, i wanted to check out blue planet, and it seems to be working ok for me, but I noticed that it seems to have 2 issues.
1. My ships primary weapons seem invisible, but missles, beam cannions, and even enemy ships weapons, seem to work just fine. Even the weapons of my wingmates are visable. So I don't know if thats just me, or a well known issues.
2. I may have fixed it already, but when I started the game, the sol area seemed highly sparse in it's backgrounds. I suspect that this was either by design, or might be that im missing needed back ground files. If any one knows which it is, i'd like the info. :nervous:
Other then that, I've been very impressed, I can't even begin to tell you how I reacted to seeing earth for the first time in Free space and seeing nothing but death. It was a well done bit of work, and im looking forward to see more of the series.
BTW, I know you probably get this all the time, but if your ever gonna add voice work to the mix, I'd be willing to try out for some voices. I have a basic mic for the computer that might do the job. IF not, i'll get a better one, but I just think that as amazing as this mod is, voice work would add a even more impact to it.
Still, Love it, and want more. Excellent work.

That happened to me first time I downloaded Blue Planet
Where did you download it and how?
I found that using the download link resulted in that, so I used Turey's installer and the file from the BP 3.6.10 thread

Using a 3.6.9 build withe the older mediavps fixed that problem for me. =/

Thansk for the advice. i got it fixed with some file wrangling of the Mod Ini files and such. Haven't had any other issues so far. Love the story, it's amazing.

Yeah, it's a good turn for Freespace Campaign writing. "Nameless-Cog-In-a-Great-Machine" works but it was getting old. Identifying with the protagonist the way you did in BP was awesome. Although replayability wise it isn't as great, but still good.

Would you mind being a bit more specific? I'm having the same problem, but I've not a clue what to do about it.

Download this (http://files.filefront.com/Blueplanetrar/;9827245;/fileinfo.html).
Extract the contents to your Blue Planet folder.
Make sure that you have the MediaVPs and that they are in a subfolder called "mediavps", without quotations.
Alternatively, try the 3.6.10 version of Blue Planet along with FSO 3.6.10 RC2.

I find it interesting that everyone else forgets this, and just bothers to solve the problem. You're slacking since speeches left.

In my case it's not about forgetting or slacking; it's about not caring. If a person asks for help, I'd concider speedy and helpful replies to be quite welcoming already.

Where are today's messages???

I told you to wait. I moved the discussion here (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php/topic,63378.0.html), since your issue isn't limited to Blue Planet.
