For my campaign I need a bigger Shivan Juggernaught. With no way to create a new one from scratch I created this:

The thing is since it is 4x longer, some of it's data needs redoing. I think I can handle the subsystems but I think I'll need help with the turrets, docking and path data.
I could use some help on this one. Is anyone interested?

I want to turn this into a planet destroyer. It will include new beams and some new weapons.

Wow.
If you add all the turrets and stuff for that thing, give it one big fat beam coming out of the front, and maybe change the model a bit to make it SOMEWHAT different from the current S., then you've got a winner IMO. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)

Oops the pics are of the smaller version the actual size is 23691m. (23.6km) The render is the correct size, the rest are not.

well, if you send me a 3ds file of the Sathanas, I can modfy it enough to make it very different. Then you'll have to size it under TS like you want, and do all the remaining stuff. I have no time to do anything else, but I can quickly tweak the model.

Well I've ran into a bit of a problem with it. I'll need a bit of help.
For some reason FS2 sometimes won't render parts of the ship so you can see right through it.
Also you don't collide with it you pass through it! (most of it)
Can anyone help with this?

Boosting the size like that probably caused the problem... is there some sort of 'hull' designator in the texture programs or anything that tells you where you can pass through and where not to? Probably not.

I'm having tons of problems with this ship, but I'll still be using it in my campaign. It only has to appear two or three times and fire a couple of beams. It's fine for what I need it for. Believe me you won't get anywhere near it. (50ish anti fighter beams) (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)
But, if anyone wants to try and fix this thing tell me.
I better tone down those beams, they blow everything up with one shot. Which is quite fun to watch (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)
They also have a massive range and usually fires 70000m from the target.

I also replaced the back beam with a BFRED.
At least this thing won't have shields. It doesn't need them.

The Model's nearly finnished (what I can do to it anyway)
Tech Specs for beam weapon:
Name = SBFRED
Fire Wait = 35 seconds
Damage = 5100 (BFRED = 2100)
Range = 80000
Takes 2-3 shots to destroy a Sathanas.

Wow... excellent job... I didn't think the FS1 engine could handle a ship so big. How many polys does this thing have? Same as the Sathanas?

It just about can. If you get too close you can see right through parts of it.
It has the same number of polys as the Sathanas.

That happened to me with the default capships with my new system. I think it's a D3D driver thing.

Nope. I wasn't going to, but if you want it I'll put it up once the FS2 version is finnished and I convert it again (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif) (It'll be with the FS2-FS1 conversion ships)
It'll come with older weapons though. Shivan Super Lasers. The FS2 version will only be availiable with my campaign.

Well it might appear in my new campaign now, which is a sequel to the one I'm doing. It has parts in FS1 and FS2. It'll be a big campaign. Tons of missions for both games (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)
