1. Put on your Flightsuit.
2. Use Ladder to climb into cockpit.
3. Get out of cockpit.
4. find Crew Chief.
5. Persuade him to give back the Joystick.
6. Rank may be pulled.
7. Ask Crew to get the damn thing into the tubes already, GODSDAMMIT!
8. Signal Catapult operator that you are ready to launch.
9. Go frak some toasters.

The VII is HOTAS so there isn't a stick between your legs, they are on the side consoles just like a "real" Viper.  The shot is probably just to far forward to see them.  It is a nice ref though.

Funny enough though at least one version of the VII cockpit has 3 MFDs in the instrument panel where this one only has one.
