I had meant to post this earlier but it went clean out of my head.

Diaspora is currently hiring for R1. If you'd like to hear your own voice in the game check out this thread (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php/topic,61917.0.html).

I am very interested. I would not need to be "hired"!
I would gladly submit an "audition" with any supplied line(s).

Not sure what my future situation is going to be, but I want to state I would like to contribute to the project.

i noticed that the other thread is locked but are you still in need of anyone else?  I am very good at imitations and can do nearly any voice/accent and I have been toying with the idea of becoming a professional voice actor in recent days.
