Hey, I'm trying to install FS2 after a year or two since last playing it on the same computer but have ran into a snag.
The Setup.exe doesn't run properly and neither does the autorun. When I CTRL+ALT+DEL i see a wowexec.exe and a setup.exe in my Processes bar but nothing is happening.
When I end tasked I get a warning message that "the selected 16 bit task has timed out. The win 16 Subsystem may be unstable" message :(
Does anyone know what may be the problem or know of a solution?

Nevermind I sorted the problem out myself. At a risk of looking like a goof by replying to myself I thought I may as well put what the problem was :p
I had to uninstall ProSet Wireless which is a tool that got reinstalled when I reformatted my hardrive that has to do with my wireless connection. Uninstalling that and force closing ProSetManager seemed to work. Why did they stop the game from installing... YOU GOT ME.
...does this constitute talking to yourself :nervous:

No it's a good idea. Too many people come in with issues and then never tell us what fixes them.

You don't look like a goof, you look like the kind of person who can solve problems without being babied along.
