do you know what is this ''thing''? is based in the freespace engine? and we'll see skyes like this or we have the same and black space (this coloured space remember me 4x01 bsg episode...so cool!!!) :nod:  oh i forgot  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fbjBH3zAzMo

Erm........Link? Pictures? Anything? I'm sorry, but I don't have a clue as to what you're talking about. Are you looking for a Mod? Or are you asking if something is possible? Also, what's that letter after "freespace " in the thread title supposed to be?

Okay, I can see what you're asking, but, no, these things are somewhat outside the scope of the FreeSpace engine (Damn. I feel kinda bad about being the one always telling you that things are impossible right now...). Missions in Atmosphere seem to be doable (according to the Shadows of Lylat (http://www.game-warden.com/starfox/) team over on game-warden), but the kind of seamless space-to-atmosphere transition the video shows isn't.
IIRC, this question came up once already, and the answer then was that, yes, if they are doable, planetary missions will happen at some point, but that the Diaspora team would wait for SoL to do it first and then see what they could do.

don't worry E!you give me bad news but you're almost the only one answer me  :) and about the coloured space nebulas ? you think is possible ? i find this effects more realistic and spectacular (perhaps 'cause i am a fan of in-house visual effects) :pimp:

I don't see why not. After all, FreeSpace is famous for its nebulae...
