Alright, so I don't know what to say on this one :nervous:
-
Is this a campaign? :nervous:
-
Well, yes (http://www.hard-light.net/wiki/index.php/Crossing_the_Styx).
-
Ooh.
-
uhh uhh!! nice... how did you do that "model bright line" thing?
-
I think that's a WIREFRAME.
-
Yeah. Taken a shot in PCS2, then blurred a double of it for the glowy effect.
-
Why NTSc instead of NTSC?
The prefix used in the main FS2 campaign provided with the new MVPs is wrong.

Yes. I should be NTSC.
GTSC = Science Cruiser
GTFr = Freighter.
-
Yes. I should be NTSC.
Snail, you're not a science cruiser. :P

Yeah, I'm an S-Cargo. (SC)

:wakka:
-
Escargot... :drevil:
-
Escargot... :drevil:
Don't start, Mobius. I'm warning you right now. DON'T. START.
-
I'd have to agree, he's already left INFA.....
BTW The pic looks good
-
Wow, this has gone off-topic.
So I assume the Orpheus is supposed to be something related to ETAK...
-
Well, if it's related to ETAK, you should be able to see it in the picture, no?
-
Okay.... So it's a combat Faustus with fighter deployment and flak guns.
How's that for a guess?
-

Well I'd say it's a Spec Ops Science Cruiser that has
- Valuable Intel onboard
or
- Carries out operations on the front-lines
which warrant the flak guns. Fighters I'd say is an experimental thing rather than a means of defense, but I skim-read the image.
-
Alright so we know it's a Neo-Terran special operations modified Faustus which has been outfitted with a few flak guns, presumably for additional defense.
It also has GTVA transponder codes installed so I suppose it's got limited under-cover tasks too. It can deploy at least 2 fighters, at least one of which is a Ulysses.

Uh-huh. On the right track. You can see the exact fighter carrying capacity in the image.
-
2 fighters. Definetly beats none.
-
A modified Faustus to accomodate more fighters? Sounds familiar to me. :)

Familiar? Who? What? Where? When? How?
-
Mobius is all-knowing, everything is familiar to him!
-
Snail, I'm going to tell you what I told Mobius earlier.
Don't start. I'm warning you right now. DON'T. START.

Yarp.
-
Yarp? :wtf: What's yarp?
-
Yarp? :wtf: What's yarp?
You never watched Sesame Street?
Yarp- Variation of the word Yes, used by puppets
-
I haven't seen Sesame Street since I was 5 or so. Good to know though. Besides, all I ever really paid attention to was "Elmo's World" :D

 They started Elmo's World after I'd stopped watching full-time, I remember catching glimpses in the years after that though
-
Wasn't bad, but obviously a kiddie show. Anyway, we are REALLY OFF TOPIC.

Fair enough
Regardless, I'm reasonably sure the two fighters housed in the Faustus are NOT for defence. Experimental work I'd bet on though, if it was for defence....why just two? Why not just revamp the whole thing and increase the size by x1.5 or whatever.
-
Yeah, especially when you consider the fact that they are probably both Ulysses. Those are REALLY not suited for defense.

Yeah, they would stick a Leviathan with it if they really wanted defense.
-
Tehehe
You have no idea.

/me stares accusingly at ShadowGorrath.
What do you know that we don't?
-
He's SUPPOSED TO BE a beta tester. At one mission per month :doubt: , but still. As why you wouldn't revamp the whole thing and make it bigger: that would make it just slightly less suited for undercover operations, wouldn't it?
-
I've played it yesterday, FSF :D Will report stuff once you're on IRC or MSN.

I was speaking in regards to having fighters as defence, revamping the structure would allow more fighters.....but then again it's beyond reasonable doubt those fighters are used for defence.

Actually I got yarp from that dude in Hot Fuzz... But then again, he probably got it from Sesame Street...
Umm, anyway... As FSF said it's an undercover operation (note GTVA IFF codes) so that's why they aren't using a Levi (or better fighters).
-
Uh-huh... Kinda...
And, Shadow, I just happen to have a new version now... x_x
-
So send it :p
